MakeGood is operated by SparkOven LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, when we share it, how long we retain it, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
Account and sign-in information. When you sign in through Apple or Google, we may receive an account identifier and, depending on the choices you make with that provider, your name or email address.
Kitchen and recipe information. This may include photos you choose to submit, ingredients you add or confirm, food preferences, measurement settings, generated recipes, saved recipes, and other choices you make inside MakeGood.
Purchase and membership information. Apple, Google, and our subscription-management provider may provide us with transaction identifiers, subscription status, renewal status, product purchased, and related purchase metadata. We do not receive or store your complete payment-card number.
Device, usage, advertising-measurement, and diagnostic information. We may collect device type, operating system, app version, device or advertising identifiers where permitted, app launches, selected in-app interactions, crash information, performance information, and technical logs. Some of this information may be collected through third-party software development kits integrated into MakeGood.
For advertising measurement, MakeGood may record limited events such as activation of the app and completion of a first kitchen run. We do not send kitchen photos, ingredient lists, generated recipes, or saved recipes to Meta for advertising measurement.
Support information. If you contact us, we receive the information you provide, including your email address, message, and any screenshot or attachment you choose to send.
Mobile and text messaging information. If you provide a mobile phone number, initiate a text conversation with us, or otherwise consent to receive text messages, we may collect your mobile number, messaging preferences, opt-in and opt-out records, and the contents and timing of messages exchanged with us.
How we use information
We use information:
- To recognize ingredients and create meal options.
- To provide Cook Mode, timers, favorites, preferences, and other app features.
- To manage accounts, memberships, purchases, and restoration of purchases.
- To answer support requests and communicate about the service.
- To monitor reliability, prevent abuse, investigate problems, and improve performance.
- To measure the effectiveness of MakeGood advertising and understand whether advertising led to an app install or meaningful use of the app.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
Advertising measurement and tracking choices
MakeGood uses limited device and app-interaction information to understand and measure the effectiveness of advertising.
On iOS, MakeGood uses Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework when tracking requires Apple’s permission. If the tracking prompt is presented, you can choose whether to allow tracking.
If you select Ask App Not to Track, MakeGood remains fully usable. Consent-gated Meta advertising-measurement events are not sent when tracking permission is denied.
You can later review or change tracking permission through your iOS device settings.
Android does not use Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. Advertising-measurement information on Android is handled according to Android platform controls, applicable permissions, applicable law, and the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
MakeGood does not use kitchen photos, ingredient lists, generated recipes, or saved recipes for advertising targeting.
Text messaging and mobile information
We use mobile phone numbers and related messaging information to respond to conversations you initiate, provide messages you request or consent to receive, operate our text messaging service, and maintain records of messaging consent and preferences. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
SparkOven LLC does not share mobile numbers, text messaging originator opt-in data, or consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with third parties except aggregators and providers used to operate the text messaging service.
You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP. For assistance, reply HELP or contact support@makegood.recipes. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing or using MakeGood. Additional terms appear in our Terms of Service.
Ingredient photos and automated processing
When you submit a kitchen photo, MakeGood sends the image and related information to service providers that help us identify ingredients and generate recipes. Photos are processed only as needed to provide and maintain the service.
We do not sell kitchen photos or use them for advertising targeting.
Because ingredient recognition and recipe generation use automated systems, results may be incomplete or incorrect. MakeGood gives you a chance to review, add, remove, and confirm ingredients before meals are created.
When we share information
We share information only as needed to operate MakeGood, complete transactions, measure our advertising, protect the service, or meet legal requirements.
Providers and platforms we use may include:
- Supabase, for authentication, database, and backend services.
- OpenAI, for ingredient recognition and recipe generation.
- RevenueCat, for subscription and purchase-status management.
- Apple and Google, for sign-in, app distribution, platform services, and in-app purchases.
- Meta, for advertising measurement, attribution, and campaign optimization. Depending on platform permissions and settings, information shared with Meta may include device or advertising identifiers and limited app-interaction events such as app activation and completion of a first kitchen run.
- Technical providers that support hosting, diagnostics, security, and customer support.
We do not share kitchen photos, ingredient lists, generated recipes, or saved recipes with Meta for advertising measurement.
Third parties may process information as service providers or under their own platform terms and privacy practices. We select providers that maintain privacy and security protections appropriate to the information involved and require information to be handled in accordance with applicable law and relevant contractual or platform obligations.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights or safety, or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or transfer of the business.
Sale, sharing, and targeted advertising
We do not sell personal information for money.
We may share limited device identifiers and app-interaction information with advertising and measurement providers such as Meta to measure and optimize MakeGood advertising.
Some privacy laws use terms such as sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or cross-context behavioral advertising differently. Where applicable law gives you rights concerning these practices, you may contact us to exercise those rights.
MakeGood does not use kitchen photos, ingredient lists, generated recipes, or saved recipes for targeted advertising.
On iOS, Apple’s App Tracking Transparency controls provide an additional way to control tracking that requires Apple’s permission.
Data retention
We keep account, preference, saved-recipe, and membership information for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide MakeGood.
Support records, transaction records, security logs, advertising-measurement records, crash information, and other technical records may be retained for a reasonable period for operational, analytics, legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, security, and advertising-measurement purposes.
Third-party providers may retain information according to their own applicable retention policies and legal obligations.
When you delete your account, we begin deleting or de-identifying account-linked information, except for records we must retain for legal, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, or transaction purposes. Details are available on the Delete Your Account page.
Your choices and rights
You can update many preferences inside the app, remove saved recipes, manage device permissions through your phone settings, and manage subscriptions through Apple or Google.
On iOS, you can manage MakeGood’s tracking permission through your device’s privacy and tracking settings.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information by contacting us.
Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide additional rights concerning access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, targeted advertising, or certain forms of data sharing. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
MakeGood is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.
International use
MakeGood and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Those countries may have privacy laws that differ from the laws where you live.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as MakeGood changes, as our providers or measurement practices change, or as legal requirements change. We will revise the effective date above and provide additional notice when required by law.
